ALYA offers $1000 scholarship for an individual to study in a Latvian high school or university for at least one semester. The classes must be in Latvian. The applicant must live in a Latvian dorm or stay with a Latvian family. We must receive an official confirmation from the educational institution.

LOM Scholarship (Latvian Occupation Museum Scholarship)

In the application essay it is suggested to stress what qualities the applicant has that could be useful for work in the museum (i.e. knowledge of languages, history, etc.) The recipient will be expected to work primarily as a museum guide, although it is also possible to be involved in other museum projects, depending on the recipient's knowledge, background and experience. Other work related responsibilities may include translating or computer/database work.
