ALJA's Annual Events
ALJA Congress
ALJA's annual Congress happens each year, in a different city, on Thanksgiving Day
weekend. ALJA Congress is for all members, where, among other activities, there is
the annual member meeting and election of next year's board. ALJA Congress is a
four day event including lectures, panel discussions, work groups, concerts and dances.
"Days of the Youth"
Each year, ALJA hosts multiple "Days of the Youth" events, where Latvians get together
for a weekend to meet, participate in different sporting activities and lectures.
ALJA also organizes
a Valentine's Day ball
an evening of concerts during the Latvian Center Garezers annual 4-2 volleyball tournament weekend
a pig roast celebrating the end of the volleyball tournament for the teams and spectators
ALJA also organizes new events each year. In recent years, ALJA organized

Multiple showings of the the films "Found in America" and "Sprīditis Amerika
- Does it Look Like Happiness?"
BALToween - a Halloween ball uniting Latvians, Lithuanians and Estionians.
